AEDs save lives, with support from Montage Health Foundation

Since 2017, Montage Health Foundation has granted nearly $500,000 to support Tyler Heart Institute’s Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Program —strengthening our community’s response to cardiac emergencies.

The program now has more than 550 AEDs in schools, businesses, churches, and other organizations in Monterey County. Many lives have been saved, including Marina High School student Kyle Larson in 2017, who is alive today because of the quick thinking and care by his teacher, the AED, first responders, and Community Hospital.
