Language assistance and interpreter services
Everyone should be able to understand and communicate with their healthcare providers, so they can make the choices that are right for them. You’re entitled to language assistance at Montage Health and Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula.
You may benefit from language assistance if you or your loved one:
- Don’t speak English or speak English as your second language
- Are Deaf or have poor hearing abilities
How to request assistance
If you’re getting care at:

You can also request a Telecommunications Device for the Deaf (TDD) phone. If you have a concern or problem with our language assistance services, call the hospital’s Nursing Administration at ext. 4711
- Another Montage Health facility, tell our staff before your visit that you need language assistance, or ask us to use a language phone line during your appointment
