Montage Health will be proudly displayed across the front of Monterey Bay FC’s jerseys as both organizations partner on elevating the health and wellness of the Monterey region.
MARINA, Calif. (June 17, 2021) – During a press conference this morning at Montage Wellness Center, Monterey Bay Football Club (Monterey Bay FC) announced Montage Health as its Official Kit Partner. The multi-year partnership will prominently feature Montage Health across the front of Monterey Bay FC’s kits or jerseys.
“Part of our mission is to inspire optimal health,” says Dr. Steven Packer, president/CEO, Montage Health. “Partnering with Monterey Bay FC allows our community to be inspired by the athletes to remain active, to be involved in sports, and to come out to a game to promote social and mental well-being.”
As part of the partnership, Monterey Bay FC and Montage Health will collaborate to raise the importance of health and wellness in the region, including but not limited to, visits with patients by Monterey Bay FC players, fundraising for health causes or programs, and helping to promote health awareness campaigns. Many of these programs will utilize soccer as a tool to reach audiences, including Monterey Bay FC matches. In addition, Montage Health facilities will be used for the fitness and physical therapy needs of Monterey Bay FC players.

Unlike other sports, jersey sponsors have long been a prominent part of soccer and soccer culture; it is considered one of the most important partnerships for a soccer team. Today’s announcement was a significant step for the USL Championship club which will host its 2022 Inaugural Season on the campus of Cal State Monterey Bay.
Development and design of the kit or jersey will begin immediately and include input from the community. The club launched an online survey for fans to share ideas and input on what they would like in the design of the kit along with other merchandise. Select fans that participate in the survey will be some of the first to receive the official team jersey. The club is currently in the process of developing its crest and colors which will be revealed in the Monterey Bay community in summer 2021.
Earlier this year, Monterey Bay FC announced PUMA as its Official Sports Apparel Partner. As part of the partnership, PUMA will provide the official kit and training gear for the club, its players, coaches and training staff. Release of Monterey Bay FC’s inaugural kit is anticipated for early fall 2021.

ABOUT MONTEREY BAY FC
On February 1, 2021, the United Soccer League (USL) announced Monterey Bay Football Club (Monterey Bay FC) joined USL Championship for the 2022 season. The club plans to play on the campus of California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB and is privately investing millions to upgrade existing facilities, including the renovation of a stadium, which will bring the venue’s capacity to 6,000.
Monterey Bay FC is led by Owner and Chairman Ray Beshoff, who alongside a dedicated group of local investors, is working with the community to craft and develop the club’s official colors and crest which will be unveiled in Summer 2021. The club’s soccer operations is led by two-time MLS Coach of the Year Frank Yallop who will serve as sporting director and head coach for the club, and assistant coach Ramiro Corrales.
