Aspire Health Plan Earns Four Stars from CMS for Medicare Advantage Plans
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Aspire Health Plan, a community-centered, not-for-profit organization backed by Montage Health and Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System (SVMHS), has earned a four-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for its 2022 Medicare Advantage.
Every year, CMS evaluates Medicare Advantage plans based on a star rating system and each plan is given an overall rating based on five categories:
- Staying healthy
- Chronic condition management
- Member experience
- Member complaints
- Customer service
Aspire Health Plan’s customer service team earned five stars for member satisfaction based on measures from the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS®) survey. This rating helped contribute to the plan’s strong overall rating.
“Our rating demonstrates our commitment to deliver top-notch customer service and provide coordinated and personalized care to Medicare beneficiaries living in Monterey County,” says Scott Kelly, chief operations officer at Aspire Health Plan.
Aspire Health Plan offers Monterey County's only individual Medicare Advantage health plans. The provider network consists of more than 700 healthcare providers, and includes all four Monterey County hospitals. Aspire Health Plan offers three plans, all including Part D prescription drug coverage, and 2022 benefits highlights include co-pays as low as $0; an over-the-counter allowance; preventive dental; a fitness benefit with access to local gyms, including the Montage Wellness Centers; optional dental and vision plans with enhanced benefits; and transportation to in-network appointments.
During Medicare’s Annual Election Period (AEP) from Oct. 15 through Dec. 7, Aspire Health Plan is hosting virtual and in-person neighborhood seminars, with space limited due to social distancing. These events give Monterey County residents the opportunity to learn the basics of Medicare and discover the benefits of the Aspire Health plans, with no obligation to enroll. The AEP is the only time most Medicare beneficiaries can change their healthcare coverage.
Those individuals who are or will soon be eligible for Medicare can register for a seminar, appointment, or webinar and find more information about Aspire Health Plan’s 2022 Medicare plans at www.aspirehealthplan.org or by calling (866) 798-1530 (TTY 711), 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday from April 1 through Sept. 30, and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., 7 days a week from Oct. 1 through March 31 (except certain holidays).
