Kara (She, Her, Hers) specializes in depression, PTSD, and other mood disorders and responses to trauma. Working with families in underserved communities in Los Angeles sparked her passion for service. She values the role of human relationships in overcoming barriers, especially related to mental health, which drew her to therapy. She is passionate about mental health, equity, and the work she does with youth. Kara is always seeking to innovate and grow within the field to make sure the unique needs of her families are met. She believes that each patient should be treated with dignity and respect, and should be understood as an individual who may have unique needs and strengths. Kara is most proud of getting a master's degree in social work and pursuing a career in mental health. When she’s not at work, you’ll find her practicing martial arts, hiking, baking, and appreciating good food.
