Xiomara Urban, MD, is a physician at Ohana, a center for child and adolescent behavioral health at the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula. She is originally from Palo Alto, CA and attended college in the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts. She then stayed on the east coast for the next seven years, where she met her partner. In her youth, her first job was as a camp counselor and swim instructor for ages 6-13. She then volunteered at a rural inpatient psychiatric unit while in college. Dr. Urban attended medical school and psychiatry residency in Albany, NY and returned to California in 2019 for her child and adolescent fellowship at University of California, San Francisco. She enjoys gardening, cooking, exercising, and playing with her family. She is interested in learning languages, including Morse code, American Sign Language, and other non-verbal languages.
