Provider star ratings and reviews
Montage Health empowers our patients to make the best decisions for themselves by providing online patient satisfaction ratings for individual Montage Medical Group providers. Star ratings and reviews provide patients with first-hand accounts of other patient experiences.
Open and accurate patient feedback makes the patient’s voice heard, establishes trust, and helps us provide exceptional patient care every time.
How the ratings work
Ratings and reviews are submitted by patients after they have an appointment with a Montage Medical Group provider. We partner with a third-party company, Press Ganey, to administer the survey and provide the ratings.
Providers must have a minimum of 30 reviews to have a published rating. Since only Montage Medical Group providers receive star ratings and reviews, not all doctors listed on Montage Health’s website have a rating.
Survey questions
The survey’s answers are based on a 1–5 scale, with 1 being very poor and 5 being very good.
The following questions are sent to Montage Medical Group patients after each visit to determine the star ratings:
- Courtesy of the care provider
- Concern the care provider showed for your questions or worries
- Explanations the care provider gave you about your problem or condition
- Care provider's discussion of any proposed treatment (options, risks, benefits, etc.)
- Care provider's efforts to include you in decisions about your care
- Information the care provider gave you about medications (if any)
- Instructions the care provider gave you about follow-up care (if any)
- Likelihood of your recommending this care provider to others
Our commitment to transparency
Montage Health is committed to providing honest and transparent information that is helpful and valuable for our patients. Negative reviews are published with equal visibility to positive or neutral reviews.
Comments are subject to a standard review process including review from the care provider and Montage Medical Group leadership. If a comment is appealed by the provider, the Montage Medical Group executive team facilitates the appeal and makes a final decision about whether the comment is published. A comment will not be removed simply because it is negative.
Feedback is not published when it includes:
- Libel
- Comments about staff other than the care provider
- Irrelevant comments
- Billing or insurance concerns
- Profanity
Protecting patient information
Reviews and comments are shared without identifying information and protected health information is never published.
