Tools for schools
Recent increases in opioid overdose-related deaths and injuries impacting youth across our country indicate that local education agencies and schools need to continue to develop proactive strategies to address the impacts that the opioid and fentanyl crisis pose to Monterey County’s youth and local schools.
Substance use awareness education: tailored for middle and high school students
This lesson plan promotes substance use awareness, addresses the effects of substance use, and provides students with tools to say "no," and ways to take action. Prescribe Safe's mission is to change the beliefs and behaviors surrounding substance use, by educating students on how substance use awareness can make a significant difference, and potentially save their life, or the life of someone they know.
