Advanced technology
Carol Hatton Breast Care Center offers the screening and diagnostic resources you and your doctor need to make informed decisions about your health:
- Four 3D mammography machines, plus MammoPads®, foam cushions that provide a gentler testing experience than a traditional mammogram
- Two automated breast ultrasound machines for women with dense breast tissue
- Two bone-density (DEXA) scanners for osteoporosis screenings

We were the first area facility to earn Breast Imaging Center of Excellence and Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence® designations from The American College of Radiology (ACR). History
In 2011, Community Hospital’s Breast Care Center was renamed in honor of Carol Hatton, former senior development officer at the hospital. She led a fundraising campaign that started in 2008 and quickly raised $2.5 million to bring digital diagnostic equipment to the center. After the campaign reached its goal, a fund bearing her name was formed to pay for diagnostic breast care for local women who couldn’t afford it.
Hatton passed away due to breast cancer in 2009, leaving a legacy that helps other patients continue the fight.
In 2021, the center moved from Cass Street to a new Ryan Ranch location and doubled in size to 10,500 square feet. The larger space means shorter wait times for appointments, making care as convenient as possible.
